Job Title: Mixer Operator / Manufacturing Associate

Shift Time: 4:30AM-12:30PM Mon-Fri

Job Description

This role focuses on accurately batching and mixing products in a manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and cleanliness. You will operate production equipment, handle materials, and support continuous improvement efforts to ensure efficient and reliable production processes.

Responsibilities

• Accurately follow batch sheets to ensure proper formulation of products according to established specifications.

• Document all production data clearly and completely for performance measurement, traceability, and compliance purposes.

• Recommend and help implement process improvements that enhance product quality, safety, and overall productivity.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements as outlined in Work Order Traveler documents and company procedures.

• Move materials through the Work Order Management process, including multi-bin handling, to keep production flowing smoothly.

• Operate sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently to move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

• Lift up to 50 pounds to load ingredients and materials into mixers and related equipment.

• Perform sanitation duties to maintain clean, safe, and organized production and mixing areas.

• Complete all housekeeping functions in the filling areas, including cleaning equipment, workstations, and surrounding spaces.

• Support general production activities as needed, including batching, compounding, blending, and handling boxes or other packaging materials.

• Participate in cross-training efforts to support different departments and production functions over time.

Qualifcations:

• Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment; 6+ months of production experience is preferred.

• Ability to accurately read and follow batch sheets, work orders, and written instructions.

• Capability to document production data clearly and consistently for performance and compliance tracking.

• Experience with general production tasks such as batching, compounding, blending, and handling materials.

• Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift or willingness to learn and become proficient.

• Comfort with lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly to load ingredients and materials into mixers.

• Strong awareness of safety practices and willingness to strictly follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.

• Ability to perform sanitation and housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Willingness to cross-train and eventually take on different responsibilities in various departments.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing facility that produces cleaning and sanitation solutions. The Bloomington site houses approximately 60 people on-site, supported by a larger sales team. Dress typically aligns with a production setting, where practical, clean, and safety-compliant attire is expected to support a safe and efficient workplace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
