This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants meaningful responsibility, direct mentorship from the firm owner (a licensed CPA in NY and NJ), and the flexibility of remote work.The ideal candidate has 1–4 years of tax preparation experience and can manage their own workflow under the supervision of the firm owner. This is a fully remote role, with occasional in-person meetings required for training and collaboration at our Marlboro office. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare individual and business tax returns for a variety of clientsPrepare detailed client workpapers in ExcelOrganize and maintain digital client files as information is receivedApply solid understanding of tax laws and formsHandle monthly accounting and bookkeeping for select clientsAssist with attestation engagements (reviews and compilations) as neededRequired Skills & Experience1–4 years of tax preparation experience with both individual and business returnsProficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft 365, and Adobe AcrobatSolid working knowledge of individual and business tax law and formsExperience reviewing financial statements and preparing client workpapers in ExcelStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyExperience with Intuit ProConnect or TaxDome is a plusExperience assisting with reviews or compilations is a plusCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary: $60,000 – $85,000 based on experienceFully remote work with occasional meetings at our Marlboro officeHealth benefits available after 90 days (employer-funded HRA)10 days paid time off + 5 days paid sick leaveRetirement plan benefits available after one year of serviceDirect mentorship and professional development from the firm ownerOpportunity to grow into more advanced tax, accounting, and attestation workCollaborative environment with low bureaucracy where your contributions are visible and valuedAbout the FirmWe are a small, client-focused CPA practice serving individuals and businesses. xhyhwjd You'll work closely with the firm owner in a supportive setting that prioritizes quality work, clear communication, and professional growth.
