Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down/Intermediate Care Unit position in Wisconsin, requiring at least 2 years of MS or IMCU experience and the ability to care for a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac, and post-op patients.

Details

• Step Down/Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes stroke, cardiac (including cardiac drips), post-op (ortho, GU, GYN, general surgery), and general medical patients
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Every other holiday (EOH) required
• Floating may be required within skill set onsite or to sites within 40 miles
• EMR: Epic (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or IMCU nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Cardiac drip experience preferred
• Must provide a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Copy of all certifications and license verification/Nursys required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must be adaptable and comfortable caring for a wide variety of patient types across multiple surgical and medical specialties
• Local candidates are eligible to apply; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be offered a reduced pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
