Relationship Banker I

Responsibilities The Relationship Banker will serve as the single point of contact for customers, creating and managing relationships, delivering products and services, mentoring employees, and ensuring compliance. Essential Duties Maintain thorough knowledge of all First United Bank products, services, procedures, policies, and regulatory issues. Master the Primary Purpose and Essential Duties of the Relationship Banker I position. Follow proper procedures and policies for all customer‑servicing activities. Lead by example and serve as a role model for Tellers and Relationship Banker I positions. Retain existing customers and develop new customer relationships. Serve as customers' single point of contact for consumer and small business products. Exceed performance goals and participate in sales campaigns. Continuously exceed customer service expectations by greeting customers, using their names, and building rapport. Identify and match customer product needs through interviews and discussions. Open new accounts, certificates, safe deposit boxes, and ancillary products. Assist customers with routine questions and requests (balances, statements, etc.). Verify transactions, place holds, and close out cash drawer to ensure compliance. Process a variety of transactions quickly with minimal errors. Maintain branch cash supply, perform cash verifications and vault duties. Proactively resolve customer complaints and issues. Review and resolve account issues from insufficient and exception reports daily. Perform security functions: opening/closing bank and vault; ensuring safety. Participate in meetings, bank functions, and community events. Master the Primary Purpose and Essential Duties of the Relationship Banker II position. Employee Specifications High School Diploma strongly preferred. Some college strongly preferred. Minimum of 1 year of banking experience as a Teller, Lending Assistant, or New Accounts required. Cash handling experience preferred. Superior customer service skills required. Basic mathematics to solve problems. Requires precision and accuracy in daily work. Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate with customers and co‑workers. Ability to manage time effectively and work independently. Use good judgment and decision‑making skills. Critical Thinking: logical reasoning for solutions. Ability to multi‑task. Maintain professional attitude and appearance. Behave ethically at work or outside work environment.
