Interventional Radiology Physician
Location: Syracuse, NY 13201 Contract: 11/01/2026 – 10/31/2027 Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Seeking an Interventional Radiology Physician for a hospital-based contract opportunity providing comprehensive Interventional Radiology services, including weekday clinical coverage and shared on-call responsibilities. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality care to Veterans while collaborating with physicians and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site Interventional Radiology care and on-call consultation.
- Perform a broad range of IR procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, biopsies, central line placement, embolization, drain/tube placement, dialysis access interventions, IVC filter placement, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis, vertebroplasty, and related procedures.
- Perform CT-guided and ultrasound-guided procedures.
- Provide pre-procedure planning, physician consultation, post-procedure evaluation, follow-up, and complication management.
- Participate in quality improvement and required clinical and administrative activities.
- Maintain clinical privileges and credentialing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree.
- 1+ year of experience in Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, or Radiology.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through:
- American Heart Association (AHA), or
- American Red Cross (ARC).
