Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity runs from August 12, 2026, through May 26, 2027, offering full-time hours—37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday. Work alongside dedicated teams focused on supporting students in achieving academic and personal growth.
What you need to bring:
- Current North Carolina Special Education Certification
- Expertise in delivering individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and families
- Adaptability to manage diverse student needs across grade levels
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and implementing effective lesson plans tailored to specific student goals
- Conducting assessments and progress monitoring to inform instruction
- Managing IEP meetings, documentation, and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Partnering with general education staff, therapists, and parents to support student success
- Utilizing positive behavioral interventions and supports as needed
- Creating a classroom climate that encourages respect, engagement, and growth
