Maintains oversight as a key operator of several work areas. Oversees the training of students new employees, assists with the daily lab operation, and participates in daily work schedule development.Performs routine and complex laboratory procedures.Accurate and timely processing of specimens.Maintains safety, education, and competency requirements.CLIA defined responsibilities.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Associate's or Vocational degree in medical laboratory science from an accredited institution and completion of clinical internship orVocational or Technical Training in a comprehensive military laboratory science program plus 3 years laboratory experience orAssociate's or Vocational degree in medical laboratory science from an accredited institution plus AMT certification eligible plus 3 years' laboratory experienceCLIA defined Qualifications: § 493.1423 Standard; Testing personnel qualificationsCLIA defined Qualifications: § 493.1489 Standard; Testing personnel qualificationsPreferred Qualifications:5 to 7 years of experience in a hospital laboratoryLicenses/Certifications:Histotechnician, HT certification by a recognized agency such as ASCP, AMT or NCA required upon hirePhysical Demands:Light Work:Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequentlyPay Range:$31.04 to $40.80 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
