Job Summary
Clinical Nurse, Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This role provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting, coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 shift hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)); Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing; One (1) year of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing. Radiation oncology experience is preferred but not required; Cancer RN experience is helpful but not required.
• Additional Information: Participates in professional development by identifying and meeting learning needs of self; supports patient and family/caregiver education using relevant materials; provides patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, including identifying expected outcomes and synthesizing complex assessment data to prioritize care; promotes safe, clean, and secure hospital environment; reads professional journals and brings applicable ideas/questions to the staff.
