Robot Weld Technician

Job Description Express Employment is seeking a Robot Weld Technician in Shelbyville, KY. This person will work Friday - Sunday 6am to 6pm. Must have previous experience with Robotics and welding (Gas Metal arc MIG). Key Responsibilities Operate and program robotic welding systems to automate welding tasks and optimize production efficiency Perform routine maintenance and calibration of robotic welders to ensure peak performance and prevent downtime Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues , including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems Interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate placement and weld quality Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize weld parameters and robotic programming Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards to protect personnel and equipment Train other staff on the operation and maintenance of robotic welding systems when required Required Skills and Qualifications Technical expertise in robotics and automated welding systems , including MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques Proficiency in programming languages such as PLC and familiarity with robotic control software Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to quickly resolve mechanical or programming issues Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications accurately Attention to detail and precision , essential for high-quality welds and consistent production output Physical stamina to work in demanding environments, including standing for long periods and handling repetitive tasks
