School Psychologist

School Psychologist Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year Salary: Salary based on experience and degree on the Teacher Pay Scale and 10-month work schedule. Minimum Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for State of Delaware Certification Working knowledge of MTSS process Working knowledge of diagnostic procedures and instructional modification. Clean Criminal Background Check, TB Test, and Child Protection Registry Clearance Must be completed prior to start of employment Primary Duties: The chosen candidate will be required to work in person, in the building to which they are assigned Uses psychological principles to prevent or remediate a student's educational, emotional, or behavioral problems. Conduct, complete and interpret psychological and educational assessments of students to parents, school staff, and students, as appropriate. Identifies the special psychological needs of students through consultation, observation, and other psychoeducational techniques. Provide counseling services to students. Provide crisis intervention to school-based personnel, students and families. Analyzes, integrates, and reports psychological and educational information about students. Consults with school personnel in planning, implementing, and evaluating school programs and interventions to meet the identified psychological and educational needs of individual and groups of students. Develops, implements, and evaluates psychological interventions, including counseling, for students who have need of such services. Counsels or consults with parents of students with psycho-educational needs. Consults with school and other school personnel who apply psychological principles to enhance teaching processes, curriculum development, and the optimal development of each student. Provides in-service training to members of the school community regarding application of psychological principles to the educational process. Other related duties as may be required. Location may vary within all IRSD Schools and will be discussed in the interview.
