Full time Americas - North America - United States - Monroe - ACD Monroe LA

PURPOSE: To ensure customer orders are shipped according to the schedule on a daily basis and to effectively maintain the day-to-day operation of the Shipping Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows Plant safety & GMP policies.
• Follows ISO quality management guidelines.
• Distributes workload amongst team members.
• Performs put away, picker, checking, and loading functions as needed.
• This person must be willing to work overtime and weekends when volume dictates.
• Performs general warehouse duties as necessary cleanup, repacking, and inventory counts.
• As needed, performing job duties from current position to entry level positions.
• Ensures that customer orders are loaded correctly with the correct product.
• Updates order tracking tools multiple times per shift
• Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Processes JDE documentation. Prints orders, creates BOL's and files according to ISO.
• Performs standard functions in Transportation Management Service (TMC).
• Has a flexible schedule to fill in for Warehouse Coordinators when absent.
• Trains employees, plans, assigns and directs work.
• Works with freight companies to resolve issues. (i.e. tracking, POD etc.).
• Informs freight LTL companies when we have inventory for them to pick up.
• Creates shipping labels and maintains label inventory.
• Provides basic customer service relating to the shipping of product to the customers.
• Assists with evaluations and performance tools.
• Continuously communicates with the warehouse coordinators, assistance supervisor and manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions.
• Ability to speak effectively with co-workers, customers, and truck drivers.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
• Knowledge of computers with experience in: JDE, data entry, MS Office, Internet.
• This individual must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Two to three years related experience in a Shipping/Warehouse office.
• Basic knowledge of routine activities associated with product distribution.
