Description

• Conduct thorough assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups, utilizing both standardized tests and observational techniques.
• Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and long-standing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver focused and personalized speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication skills, language acquisition, fluency, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team-including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members-to cultivate an integrated care approach.
• Foster patient and family education to reinforce progress during off-clinic hours.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the entire treatment process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Keep abreast of field advancements by engaging in continuing education and professional collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of commencing employment.
