As an RN in our ER, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of traumatic injuries and medical emergencies.Key Responsibilities:Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and critical conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and other medical emergencies.Assessment and Triage: Quickly and accurately assess patient conditions, prioritize care based on severity, and initiate appropriate interventions.Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.Trauma Management: Administer life-saving treatments and interventions for trauma patients, including wound care, medication administration, and emergency resuscitation.Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and positive patient outcomes.Documentation: Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.Education and Support: Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant environment for all patients and staff.Qualifications and Requirements:Applicants should have a current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure and possess an associate or bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing.Required CertificationsBLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hireACLS & PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 6 months of employment, if not current upon hire.TNCC - Preferred1 year of Emergency Services nursing, AEMT, Paramedic or Military experience - preferredAbout our Health System Highpoint Health Sumner is a 167-bed hospital located in Gallatin, TN and is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to making communities healthier with acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities from coast to coast.
