MITIMCo Associate Director, Global Investment Legal Services (Attorney)

Posting Description MITIMCO ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, GLOBAL INVESTMENT LEGAL SERVICES (ATTORNEY), Global Investment Legal Services (GIS Legal), will focus on reviewing and negotiating investments in private funds, co-investment vehicles, operating companies, direct securities, and separately managed accounts; work closely with GIS Legal and teams across MITIMCo, including Global Investment Staff, Investment Accounting and Operations, Financial Reporting and Operational Risk, and MIT’s Office of the General Counsel; provide practical, responsive legal advice while supporting MITIMCo’s investment activities and developing collaborative relationships with internal colleagues, investment managers, outside counsel, and service providers. Job Requirements REQUIRED: A minimum of seven years of relevant law firm or in-house experience reviewing and negotiating private fund, co-investment, and direct investment transactions; Juris Doctor degree and admission to the Massachusetts Bar; knowledge of tax and structuring considerations affecting tax-exempt institutional investors; experience using AI-enabled tools to improve legal workflows; strong judgment, problem-solving, organizational, project management, and communication skills; ability to manage competing priorities, work effectively under compressed timelines, and translate complex legal analysis into clear guidance for non-legal stakeholders; collaborative, team-oriented approach and strong relationship-building skills; Microsoft Office proficiency; and ability to work from MITIMCo’s Cambridge office at least two days per week or as required by company policy.
