Partner/Legal Director - Contentious Construction

It's a genuine leadership opportunity where you'll have the freedom to shape the direction of the team, develop your own client relationships and make a lasting impact within a firm that values entrepreneurial thinking.The RoleYou'll advise a broad range of clients including Developers, Contractors, Consultants, insurers, public sector organisations and commercial businesses on complex and high-value construction disputes.Your caseload will include:Adjudications, arbitrations and court proceedingsPayment, delay and defects disputesProfessional negligence claimsDisputes arising under JCT, NEC and SBCC contractsStrategic risk management and dispute avoidanceSupporting clients through all stages of construction and infrastructure projectsAlongside managing high-quality work, you'll be encouraged to play a visible role in business development, strengthen existing client relationships and help drive the continued growth of the practice.Who They're Looking ForYou'll be an experienced Scottish-qualified Solicitor with a strong reputation in contentious construction work. Whether you're already operating at Partner level or you're an ambitious Legal Director ready to make that step, this firm is keen to speak with Lawyers who enjoy building relationships and want to influence the future of a successful team.You'll ideally bring:Significant experience advising on complex construction disputesStrong commercial awareness and a solutions-focused approachAn interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyersA collaborative style and a genuine desire to help grow the practiceA client following would be advantageous but isn't essential.
