The ideal candidate is a self-starter, organized, able to work independently and love to have fun with kids. The main task for the STEM Education Workshop Leader will be to prepare a weekly lesson plan and teach a weekly workshop for K-8th grade students. The starting pay for this position is $17.00 per hour. Minimum Qualifications Must be a current University of La Verne student with Federal Work Study eligibility for the 2023-2024 academic year Ability to work collaboratively in a highly interactive environment Good oral and written communication skills General clerical and organizational skills Critical thinking and problem solving skills Takes initiative and a self-starter Preferred Qualifications Access to personal computer to complete work-study assignments Work Schedule Hours: 1 consistent weekday afternoon, MON – THU , 2:45pm -5:45pm * Besides the Wednesday afternoon workshop time, all other hours are flexible. The STEM Leader will be expected to set a consistent weekly schedule with the Outreach Director, Miriam De La Torre.
