PSC phlebotomist-Part Time

Position Overview

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Mobile, AL. The phlebotomist will work in a Patient Service Center or a Client office, providing skilled specimen collections and exceptional customer service.

Work Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 6:30 am-10:30 am and Saturday 8:00 am-12:00 pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient data accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as required.
• Travel to additional sites when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proof of exceptional customer service record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime when required.
• Must pass a standardized color-blindness test.
