Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist supporting individuals with visual impairments. In this onsite, full-time contract role, you'll serve high school students across multiple sites for the duration of the academic year, from August 3 through May 21.

Key Qualifications:

• Arizona Orientation & Mobility Endorsement required
• Successful completion of an accredited O&M program (must possess COMS credential)
• Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
• Previous experience working with students in a school setting is highly valued
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to collaboration with diverse teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students’ mobility needs, developing tailored instructional plans
• Provide direct O&M instruction to support independence, safe travel, and orientation skills in school and community environments
• Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to integrate O&M goals into students’ educational programs
• Document progress, prepare reports, and attend IEP meetings as required
• Educate school teams on best practices and provide resources or in-service training as needed
• Travel between assigned sites in the area as part of your regular schedule
