Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Registered Nurse – Step Down Unit

Schedule: Nights, 12 hours, 36 hours per week

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Requirements:

• Valid nursing license
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience in a step-down unit or similar environment
• Proficiency in ECG interpretation

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the step-down unit.
• Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and respond to life-threatening emergencies.
• Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel according to their scope of practice.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation may be required.
• Background checks and drug screens may be conducted.
• Adhere to dress code and scrubs requirements.
