Location: Boynton Beach, FL (Hybrid Available)

Compensation: Up to $125,000 + Benefits

Employment Type: Full-Time Preferred (Part-Time Considered for Exceptional Candidates)

Our client is a rapidly growing custom sign manufacturing and installation company serving commercial, municipal, and institutional clients throughout the region. They design, fabricate, and install high-impact signage solutions that help organizations strengthen their brand presence and improve customer experience.

As their company continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to build scalable financial processes, provide operational insight, and partner directly with ownership to support strategic decision-making.

Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will serve as the lead accounting and finance professional for the organization, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while providing meaningful financial insight to ownership and operational leadership.

This role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with financial analysis, cash flow management, project profitability reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is both technically strong and business-minded, capable of helping leadership understand the financial drivers of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management & Reporting

Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Develop financial reporting packages and key performance metrics for ownership

Manage account reconciliations and maintain strong internal controls

Coordinate year-end financial reporting and tax preparation with external CPA partners

• Cash Flow & Business Operations

Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements

Assist ownership with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

Analyze operating performance and identify opportunities for improved profitability

Provide financial recommendations to support strategic business decisions

• Project & Job Cost Accounting

Support project and job costing processes across manufacturing and installation operations

Track project profitability, labor utilization, material costs, and gross margins

Partner with operations and project teams to improve project financial performance

Develop reporting to improve visibility into job performance and business results

• Payroll & Compliance

Manage payroll processing and payroll tax compliance

Maintain vendor records, insurance certificates, and subcontractor documentation

Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

• Process Improvement

Evaluate and improve accounting workflows and financial reporting processes

Leverage technology and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy

Help establish scalable financial infrastructure to support continued company growth

• Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

5+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

Experience with NetSuite ERP

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Preferred

Accounting Manager, Controller, Senior Accountant, or Construction Accounting experience

Manufacturing, construction, project-based, or sign industry experience

Job costing and project profitability analysis experience

Experience supporting owner-operated or entrepreneurial businesses

CPA designation or CPA-track candidates highly valued
