Registered Nurse (RN)

The 6 North unit is a 12-bed intermediate care unit specializing in critical care and neuroscience principles. It provides care for patients with a variety of neurological conditions, including:

• Neuro trauma
• Subarachnoid, intraventricular, or intracerebral hemorrhage
• Post-operative ENT patients experiencing cancer treatments, tumor resections, and flap reconstructions
• Post-operative spine patients
• A wide range of neurological disorders

Our patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3, ensuring personalized and quality care for each patient.

This position involves a 4x12-hour day shift schedule, with hours from 07:00 to 19:00. Staff are required to work every other weekend and holiday.

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification is required.
• Previous experience with Epic electronic health record system is necessary.
• Adherence to floating policies as needed.
• Applicants can submit their application while waiting for their Virginia nursing license to be issued.

Up to 40 hours can be approved for time off during the contract period.
