This position will lead the on-site activities for the MEP scopes of work on data center projects. The MEP Superintendent will work with a team to successfully deliver large, complex projects on time and within budget.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Has the independent responsibility to manage field activities for larger projects with increased levels of complexityEnsures the proper performance of all subcontractors in both quality and timeliness of their workPerform and coordinate all duties in conjunction with the duties of the Project Manager.Perform all project start-up and close-out activitiesThoroughly understand, organize, and maintain all project contract documents on a regular basisProvide oversight, guidance, and act as a mentor for development of other Superintendents.Assist the Project Manager with preparation of the project construction schedule in conjunction with input from the required SubcontractorsCoordinate implementation of the final project budget with the Project ManagerConduct a Subcontractor pre-construction meeting with the Project Manager to review all Hourigan and project-specific requirementsConduct regular Subcontractor coordination meetings with the Project ManagerPrepare and distribute all necessary project administrative documents including, but not limited to: daily reports, 3-week look ahead schedule, incident reports, safety inspection reports, material delivery tickets, investigation reports, etcIdentify and resolve all on-site project-specific issues in conjunction with the Project Manager and escalate the necessary issues up to the appropriate personImplement and enforce all required Hourigan on-site Quality Control proceduresImplement and enforce all required Hourigan on-site Safety and emergency proceduresParticipate in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by committing to safe work practices, raising concerns, attending and applying safety and health training, and eliminating hazards within your capability and control and the help of safety staffProvide resources and support to ensure positive safety and health outcomes in line with the Hourigan SHMSQualifications and Experience:B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of experience in commercial construction with a general contractor, particularly in industrial or mission-critical projects.Strong knowledge of MEP systemsMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, including early mornings and evenings, to meet project needsWork may be performed in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.Frequent physical activity includes standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, and pulling.Occasional activity includes sitting and using a computer or viewing a computer screen.Previous experience leading a job-site teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills requiredExperience with construction software.
