Job Opportunity: Obstetrician-Gynecologist Hospitalist

Our organization is looking for a dedicated obstetrician-gynecologist hospitalist to join our clinical practice, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of standard obstetric and gynecological conditions, as well as disorders related to the female reproductive system. This full-time position (1.0 FTE) is part of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

• Manage triage, labor, and delivery processes.
• Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Certified Nurse Midwifery teams.
• Provide oversight and clinical education to medical students, residents, and other learners.
• Conduct Ob/Gyn consultations, including those from the Emergency Department.
• Work in partnership with colleagues from other departments and healthcare facilities.
• Develop and oversee postpartum care plans.
• Engage with division leadership and department administration to enhance nocturnist/laborist operations and improve patient satisfaction.
• Adhere to established guidelines for professional conduct in both educational and clinical environments.
• Participate in administrative tasks and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly objectives of our organization.

A collaborative approach with fellow faculty members is essential for this role. Candidates will be considered for various academic titles, including Assistant Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), Professor (CHS), Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, and Clinical Professor. The specific title will be determined based on the finalist's qualifications and experience.

• Essential: Board Certification/Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Preferred: For candidates seeking an appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CHS Track, they must meet the criteria set by the department and the School of Medicine and Public Health for promotion or appointment. For Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor ranks on the CT Track, candidates should also meet the established criteria.
• Education: MD or DO degree.
