Full time position We are looking for a detail oriented, outgoing, dependable Helper for an established Marine and Industrial Repair Company. Qualified applicants will be tested on their skill level and scheduled to interview at our office.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Required work experience in shipyard or industrial work environment and be able to work with hand and hand power tools to perform general work such as cleaning and handling debris removal and general assist to crews.This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned. Read a tape measureGeneral knowledge of Hand power tools General knowledge of Shop tools and equipmentAbility to follow instructionsAbility to comprehend lock-out/ tag out proceduresRequired Education and Experience:Must have strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and able to multitaskUnderstand Work Process in order to measure materialsAble to work in a fast-paced environment with ongoing deadlines Understanding of Ship repair industryMust be RAPID Gate/DBIDS and TWIX credential eligible Working Conditions:Open-air conditions such as noisy, hot, cold, as well as in an office controlled environment.May have to visit projects aboard ships, rigs both on and offshore as well as confined spaces. Must wear hearing, eye, head protection and proper PPE when required.
