Join Our Team: Registered Nurse - Cardiology Clinic

Location: Mount Vernon, IL

Work Type: Regular

Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift (Monday to Friday)

Compensation: $28.30 - $45.28 per hour

The Registered Nurse will deliver direct nursing care following the established policies, procedures, and protocols of our healthcare facility.

• Implement and oversee patient care plans.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
• Act as the primary coordinator among various disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
• Assess and manage patient discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• May accompany physicians during rounds in inpatient settings.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and scientific knowledge to inform nursing care, tailored to the specific age and clinical needs of patients.
• Adhere to professional nursing standards as outlined in our practice model.
• Follow the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to address the evolving health and nursing needs of our patients.
• Maintain a vigilant and safe working environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing.
• Experience: No prior experience is necessary.

• Regular verbal communication is essential.
• Frequent standing and walking are required.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
• Frequent use of vision for near and far distances, as well as color differentiation.
• Regular auditory skills to receive communication and detect alarms.
• Occasional patient handling and mobility tasks.
• Ability to perform various physical movements, including bending and twisting.

• Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensed in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
