Systems Operations Specialist – Temporary

Location: Buckeye, AZ

We are seeking a Systems Operator to support the day-to-day performance of a highly automated warehouse environment. This position will oversee automated equipment, coordinate with warehouse and maintenance teams, monitor system activity, and respond quickly to operational or technical issues. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a technology-driven environment, can troubleshoot problems under pressure, and is able to effectively coordinate with both on-site teams and remote technical resources.

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Monitor the overall operation and performance of automated material-handling systems, robotic equipment, and supporting personnel.
\n
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety and ensure operations are conducted in accordance with applicable OSHA requirements and site procedures.
\n
• Coordinate with warehouse operations and customers to support order fulfillment, production schedules, and inbound inventory activity.
\n
• Monitor system activity and respond to equipment interruptions, system faults, and operational delays.
\n
• Investigate system issues, identify potential root causes, and determine appropriate steps to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
\n
• Collaborate with remote software and technical support teams when issues require additional troubleshooting or escalation.
\n
• Utilize proprietary software and graphical user interfaces to monitor, control, and manage automated systems.
\n
• Partner with maintenance personnel and the Automation Manager to prioritize preventative and corrective maintenance based on operational requirements.
\n
• Maintain detailed records of significant system events, failures, troubleshooting activity, and corrective actions.
\n
• Develop a strong understanding of how the various automated systems interact and how changes or failures within one area may affect overall operations.
\n
• Analyze equipment and robotic-system failures by reviewing system information, logs, and error conditions; document findings and communicate relevant information to service personnel.
\n
• Provide hands-on support and guidance to other operators, including assistance with troubleshooting equipment and operational issues within the scope of training and experience.
\n
• Work with appropriate technical support levels to resolve issues and maintain system productivity and availability.
\n
• Assist with daily planning and prioritization to ensure operational objectives are met.
\n

Qualifications & Experience:

\n
• 3+ years of experience in information technology, computer systems, industrial automation, warehouse automation, or a related technical field preferred.
\n
• Previous experience working in an automated, technical, manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment is highly desirable.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to provide direction, guidance, or day-to-day leadership to team members.
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across operations, maintenance, engineering, and management teams.
\n
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
\n
• Comfortable learning new technologies, equipment, software platforms, and operating procedures.
\n
• Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively when multiple issues arise simultaneously.
\n
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate technical or operational concerns.
\n

Work Environment:

This position is based within a highly automated warehouse/industrial environment and may require working around elevated structures and automated equipment.

The role may involve:

\n
• Climbing stairs and accessing elevated work platforms.
\n
• Working near elevated walkways, platforms, and guardrails.
\n
• Exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor environmental conditions depending on the work area.
\n
• Working in temperatures ranging approximately from 32°F to 105°F .
\n
• Working at active construction sites during facility buildout or system installation, when applicable.
\n
• Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include a hard hat, high-visibility vest, steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, and fall-arrest equipment.
\n

Physical Requirements:

The position requires the ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks throughout extended shifts, including:

\n
• Frequently lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally moving items weighing up to 80 pounds .
\n
• Remaining on your feet and walking for extended periods, including shifts lasting approximately 10–12 hours .
\n
• Reaching, handling, gripping, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and other repetitive physical movements.
\n
• Working at elevations of up to approximately 45 feet .
\n
• Accessing confined or restricted work areas, including spaces with limited clearance.
\n
• Climbing, balancing, crawling, and maneuvering around automated equipment and warehouse structures.
\n
• Using both hands and feet repetitively when operating or servicing equipment.
