Lead Medical Assistant - Orthopedics - Santa Monica

Job Description Responsibilities A Little More About What You Will be Doing Leads huddles to monitor, assess and evaluate department workflow Provides orientation and training for Medical Assistants and administrative staff Assists the Supervisor with the preparation, documentation and make recommendations related to corrective actions Assists with the administrative and clinical (based on scope of practice) support activities including facilities management, patient billing, utilization management, quality management, risk management, human resources, and payroll Prepares patients for provider by reviewing current medications and record in medical record Takes appropriate vital signs and documents in the medical record. Sets up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED required Graduation in Medical Assisting from an accredited educational program. Experience Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinical/medical office setting required Licenses/Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association or American Red Cross required Medical Assistant Certification and/or Diploma from Board approved Medical Assistant Organization required #J-18808-Ljbffr
