Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Community Health Systems (CHS).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: In addition to meeting the unit experience requirements, work experience must reflect at least 12 months (1 year) of uninterrupted experience working in the same unit/specialty you’re applying to. Neuro assessments, drain management, and post-surgical care required.

Special Requests: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit. If multiple shifts are posted, only apply to your preferred shift. Must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.

Unit Details: Higher-acuity neuro med-surg/tele unit with stroke, seizures, post-op neurosurgery, Level 2 trauma patients, Level 1 trauma post-ICU care, DKA, renal failure, and general post-op care.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Floats to other med-surg/tele units.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
