(USA) Asset Protection Operations Coach

Position Summary Drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory level management, and area cleanliness. Oversees stocking and rotation of merchandise, organizes product displays, and secures fragile and high‑shrinkage items. What You'll Do Lead and develop teams through teaching, training, and active listening, providing feedback and coaching. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology adoption, merchandising, and company direction. Introduce and lead company change efforts, delivering clear expectations and guidance for business initiatives. Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards using the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manage and support customer service initiatives, including community outreach programs, and resolve customer complaints with action plans. Supervise and develop hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and setting clear expectations. Control unexplained merchandise loss, improve profitability by setting performance goals, measuring policy adherence, and reviewing inventory variances. Conduct operational and pre‑inventory reviews, gather audit data, monitor deficiency trends, and identify improvement opportunities. Investigate violations of company policies and criminal activities, collect evidence, write case reports, and provide courtroom testimony as needed. Monitor safety and risk controls, identify accident trends, provide training, and implement workplace safety plans. Lead facility‑level training for asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures, ensuring compliance with policies and identifying training needs. Manage claims and receiving operations, processing claims for damaged, defective, returned, or liquidated items. Coordinate job‑related activities, build stakeholder relationships, and maintain accountability for business goals. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity, supporting the Open Door Policy and company mission values. Strive for excellence by driving continuous improvement, adopting new technologies, and supporting change. Minimum Qualifications Completion of 2 years of college. OR 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi‑department environment. OR 1 year’s experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection. OR 2 years’ experience in asset protection or a related area. Successful completion of any applicable state requirements for work in asset protection (e.g., age, training, certification, licensing). If applicable, acquisition of a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility. If applicable, successful completion of a criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training. Associates must attend and complete all job‑required trainings and assessments. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Business Management & Leadership. Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership. Certification in an asset protection related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified or Certified). General work experience supervising 5+ direct reports with responsibilities for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing. Investigative experience. Bachelor’s degrees in Business or Criminal Justice.
