The Landis Lead is responsible for operating the Landis machine while coordinating daily production, assigning work, and maintaining lathe equipment. This hands-on role ensures projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule while supporting overall shop efficiency. Essential Responsibilities: Operate the Landis machine to produce high-quality threaded pipe and fabricated components. Schedule and prioritize Landis projects to meet production deadlines. Set up, troubleshoot, and perform machining operations as needed. Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on Landis and lathe equipment. Inspect finished work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA standards. Collaborate with the Shop Foreperson and production team to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience operating Landis, lathe, or other machining equipment preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience performing basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to take precise measurements. Ability to prioritize work, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment.
