Charge Nurse - Night Shift Operating Room
This is a 13-week contract position.
Shifts are 4x10 hours, from 10:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Sunday to Wednesday. Weekend call coverage may be required.
The Charge Nurse will operate in the Operating Room during night shifts, taking charge of the unit's operations. Responsibilities include scheduling cases, running the surgical day, and preparing rooms for the subsequent day. The Charge Nurse is crucial in achieving timely starts for cases and ensuring an organized workflow.
Oversee scheduling and execution of surgical cases during night shifts.
Ensure rooms are prepared for the next day's procedures.
Maintain smooth operations in the Operating Room, functioning independently.
Coordinate with surgical teams and support services as necessary.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an Operating Room setting.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required; CNOR preferred.
Experience in thoracic and vascular surgeries is essential.
Travel nursing experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
