About the Position

Job Title: RN MS/Tele Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Float Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, IV start, and Telemetry required Must-Have: NIHSS preferred Description: RN MS/Tele Float position available. Start date is approximately 3-4 weeks out based on compliance tier. Patient ratios are 1:5-6 for days and weekends, and 1:6 for nights. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend requirements include every other weekend or a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, in addition to a holiday rotation obligation. Certifications required include BCLS and ACLS, with IV start and telemetry experience necessary. Candidates will float to all medical units, including renal, oncology, and neuro. For shift assignments, workers are asked to call into a recorded line up to 1 hour before their scheduled shift start time. No block schedule accommodations will be made. There are no restrictions on local candidates within a specific radius. Pending licenses are accepted. Request for time off must not exceed 7 days for every 13-week contract and must be finalized at the time of submission. Guaranteed hours include 3 shifts per 13 weeks. It's essential that canceled shifts align with the regular shift length. Special requirements include lift devices, which will be trained on, ceiling lifts, and bladder scanners. This role will involve floating between medical, surgical, oncology, and neuro, as well as cardiology units. Daily census ranges from 28 to 50 patients, depending on the specific unit. The interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. Nurses will float within the service line as necessary. All required skills, including central line care, feeding tube management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias, must be met.
