Job description: Must Have Vehicle and Able To Work Holidays Need: We are looking for hard working, fun, and dependable people to fill our open Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions. Responsibilities Provide direct care services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, including assistance with activities of daily living such as hygiene, dressing, and eating. Train individuals to acquire skills necessary to enhance independence. Participate in and implement Individual Habilitation Plans. Write legible, clear, and accurate observations in standard English. DSP will update case notes on a daily basis and assist with hygiene, dress and socialization skills. Lift 50 pounds without assistance; transfer residents from bed to wheelchair and back; operate mechanical lift. Qualifications Prefer you have a Vehicle and Current DL w/ Insurance. High School Diploma or GED. At least 18 years of age. No disqualifying events on criminal background check. No disqualifying events on Health Care Workers Registry. Pass pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol test. Pass DSP classroom and OJT program approved by Illinois DHS. Understand written and oral English Language. Able to complete Medication Program required by DHS. Able to remain free of alcohol and/or illegal substance use while working, as determined by random testing. Job Types: Full Time / Part-time; Shift options include: Full Time/Part Time Evening Shift: 2pm-10pm & 5pm-10pm (Every Other Weekend). Benefits $16.00 - $18.00 Per Hour.
