Title: Cybersecurity Engineering Lead
Duration : 6-month Contract to Hire
Location: Onsite Mon-Fri in McLean VA or Plano TX
Conversion Salary: $150K-$200K

Must Have:

• 7+ years security engineering
• 4+ years PAM experience
• AWS, Ansible, Python scripting, automation

Preferred: CyberArk, security certifications, AI/ML

Role Overview:
Lead security engineering initiatives focused on privileged access, credential management, endpoint security, and automation. Participate in monthly on-call and provide L3 support.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership:

• Lead PAM, endpoint security, and credential management
• Align with zero-trust architecture and business needs
• Mentor team and establish best practices

Automation & Process Improvement:

• Drive automation-first mindset
• Improve efficiency and track work via Jira

Compliance & Security:

• Ensure NIST/regulatory compliance
• Support audits and risk mitigation

Collaboration:

• Partner with stakeholders to embed security
• Evaluate and implement new technologies

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT; strong PAM/credential management in large enterprises
• Experience with JIT access, zero-standing privileges
• SIEM, identity lifecycle management, endpoint security
• Windows, Linux, databases, mainframes
• Multi-cloud PAM (AWS/Azure/GCP), AWS security, CloudFormation
• Firewalls, VPNs, segmentation
• Ansible/Terraform automation
• Strong troubleshooting and communication
