We are seeking a dependable and experienced Hotel Maintenance Technician to help keep our property safe, comfortable, and in excellent condition for guests and employees. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks that ensure the hotel's smooth operation, while working as part of a medium-sized maintenance team and reporting directly to the Hotel Manager.

 

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance
• Repair and patch drywall
• Complete basic tile and grout work
• Repair and maintain carpeting
• Handle basic plumbing repairs and detect water leaks
• Maintain and troubleshoot A/C and PTAC systems
• Correct door alignment, lock, and hardware issues
• Respond promptly to guest-room maintenance requests
• Inspect equipment and report major repair needs
• Follow hotel safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

 

Required Qualifications

• Experience with hotel, apartment, or building maintenance preferred
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
• Experience maintaining PTAC units strongly preferred
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
• Able to lift equipment, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance work
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends or emergencies

 

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, HVAC maintenance, and PTAC systems
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
