SENIOR ACCOUNTING ANALYST

Location: CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY - MONTERY BAY - SEASIDE, CA Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 Other Forms of Compensation: MEDICAL, DENTAL, VISION, 401k, PTO Job Summary This individual will assist with the end to end process of Electronic Accounts Payable within the company. This will provide the opportunity to initiate communication, ensure resolution of field issues, and respond to requests and questions related to the process. Key Responsibilities Lead month-end close and prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Perform variance analysis with focus on labor, food cost, and operating expenses Analyze and monitor labor costs in alignment with CBA (wages, overtime, premiums, and benefits) Support budgeting and forecasting, including union wage increases and contract obligations Maintain general ledger accuracy and strong internal controls Partner with operations to improve financial performance and cost efficiency Assist with audits and provide financial reporting to client stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience Experience in union environments and knowledge of CBAs preferred Familiarity with contract-managed services (higher ed or hospitality a plus) Strong Excel and financial systems skills (SAP, Oracle, etc.) Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance/ AD Disability Insurance Retirement Plan Paid Time Off Holiday Time Off (varies by site/state) Associate Shopping Program Health and Wellness Programs Discount Marketplace Identity Theft Protection Pet Insurance Commuter Benefits Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Paid Parental Leave Personal Leave Associates may also be eligible for paid and/or unpaid time off benefits in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
