Sr Software Engineer
Location: Secaucus, NJ (Hybrid)
This software engineer role will be a key contributor to the Patient Reporting Service. The software engineer would work with business, technology, and client architecture teams to understand requirements and develop cutting-edge digital products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and implementing web-based reporting services in the cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, engineers, enterprise client architects, and IT teams, to develop and deliver high-quality software.
- Leverage knowledge of industry trends to build best-in-class technology to provide a competitive advantage.
- Participate in code reviews, providing valuable feedback to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes following best practices.
- Ensure high operational efficiency and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support commitment to our customers.
- Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed applications.
Skills:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in software engineering.
- Expertise in Java programming language including frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.
- Expertise in REST API development.
- Proficiency in implementing Java rules engines such as Drools.
- Proficiency in enterprise Java applications using EJB, JMS, and server-side programming. Hands-on experience with WebLogic application server.
- Proficiency in migrating on-prem applications to cloud-native applications.
- Expertise in implementing scalable containerized computing and solutions for example Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
- Good hands-on experience working with Oracle & MySQL DB.
- Proficiency in data formats such as JSON, HL7, and XML.
- Agile Development, DevSecOps, and standard software development tools such as Git and Jira.
- Deep technical knowledge of 1 public cloud services (preferably Clienture).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Other requirements:
- Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably focusing on clinical and billing data.
- Experience with tools like Dynatrace.
