** Key Result Areas **

The School Social Worker is accountable to the Academic Director and works with the Clinical Director and multidisciplinary team. This position supports daily classroom operations while addressing students’ emotional, behavioral, social, and therapeutic needs. The School Social Worker builds relationships through classroom involvement, tutoring, academic support, crisis intervention, and daily school routines. This role implements each student’s individualized education plan and coordinates with teachers, therapists, nurses, residential staff, and leadership.

** Qualifications **

• Master’s degree in Social Work
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or actively pursuing LMSW licensure
• Experience working with adolescents with emotional, behavioral, academic, or mental health needs
• Experience in a school, residential, clinical, or therapeutic setting preferred
• CPR, First Aid, and Behavior Management Training
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle report
• Strong crisis response, de-escalation, communication, and relationship-building skills

• Transport and supervise students as needed

** School Social Work, Classroom Management, and Instruction **

• Support students during emotional, behavioral, social, and therapeutic challenges
• Assist with crisis response, de-escalation, regulation, conflict resolution, and unsafe behavior
• Build daily rapport through classroom involvement, tutoring, instruction, and consistent presence
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, nurses, social workers, residential staff, and leadership
• Implement each student’s individualized education plan
• Help Academic Team with grading as needed
• Adhere to the classroom schedule, structure, and established policies
• Reinforce classroom expectations and student engagement
• Meet with the Academic Director weekly to coordinate lesson planning and student needs
• Maintain classroom resources and educational documentation
• Document student progress, concerns, interventions, and relevant communication
• Support educational activities and structured lessons as assigned
• Use Evangelhouse technology and documentation systems
• Coordinate educational records and transcripts when needed
