Nihon Kohden America is seeking an experienced registered nurse to help hospital teams successfully implement and use advanced patient-monitoring technology. As a Part-Time Clinical Application Specialist, you will travel to customer sites to provide hands-on education, clinical guidance, and implementation support to nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Employees are generally not scheduled during the remaining two weeks of the month.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will serve as a clinical resource and trusted partner to hospital customers before, during, and after the implementation of Nihon Kohden patient-monitoring systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering onsite education and hands-on training to nurses, clinicians, and other hospital personnel
• Developing training and support plans based on each customer's clinical environment and implementation needs
• Supporting patient-monitoring system implementations from preparation through go-live
• Helping clinical teams understand equipment functionality, workflows, and best practices
• Troubleshooting clinical-use questions and complex critical-care scenarios
• Partnering with sales, service, project-management, and customer teams
• Supporting implementation teams in completing projects safely, on time, and to the customer's satisfaction
• Providing follow-up customer support in person or by telephone
• Maintaining current knowledge of Nihon Kohden products, features, and clinical applications
• Completing required documentation, travel arrangements, and expense reports within established timeframes
• Maintaining an active, unrestricted nursing license and current clinical knowledge

Responsibilities may be modified or assigned based on customer and business needs.

The Schedule and Travel Commitment

This position requires a minimum commitment of two 40-hour work weeks per month. During scheduled weeks, you will travel to hospitals and other customer locations to provide onsite clinical education and implementation support.

Assignments typically occur Monday through Friday and may include daytime, early-morning, or evening hours based on hospital implementation needs. Occasional weekend, overnight, or holiday work may also be required.

A typical travel week may include:

• Monday: Early-morning (6AM) travel to the assigned customer location
• Tuesday through Thursday: Onsite clinical education and implementation support, which may include early start times and extended workdays (8HR blocks anywhere between 4AM to 12AM)
• Friday: Completion of the assignment and return travel home

Some implementation assignments may require work outside standard business hours, including early-morning or late-evening support. Schedules and travel assignments are communicated in advance whenever possible but may change based on customer or business needs.

Candidates must live within reasonable access of a major airport with regular commercial service.

Travel expenses are paid or reimbursed in accordance with company policy.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Active, valid, and unrestricted nursing license issued in the United States
• 3+ years of recent adult intensive-care nursing experience
• Strong knowledge of hemodynamics and critical-care monitoring
• Proficiency in EKG rhythm interpretation
• Ability to assess and troubleshoot complex critical-care nursing issues
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to travel 100% throughout the United States
• Ability to meet customer-site and healthcare vendor credentialing requirements

Working Conditions

Physical: Generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 25 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.

Access to Customer Sites: It is an essential function of this position to perform duties in healthcare facilities, and to achieve the necessary vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it is typically required to provide proof of vaccinations (including for COVID-19), and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work at customer sites. Typical vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
