PR Assistant, Events & Entertainment

Position Overview Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is hiring an Assistant for our Events & Entertainment team. The role supports diverse clients across awards shows, music festivals, talent, and film/TV projects. Role Responsibilities Entertainment Industry Learning – maintain interest and learn integrated communications. Media Research and List Management – build and maintain accurate media lists. Cultural Intelligence – monitor news cycles and social media for pop culture moments. Administrative Foundation – develop agendas, meeting recaps, activity reports, and budget trackers. Logistical Support – schedule, manage RSVPs, and provide on‑site staffing for premieres, screenings, and press junkets. Professional Ambassadorship – greet guests, manage light office duties, and maintain inclusive demeanor. Relationship Driven – build trust and integrity with co‑workers, partners, and media. Qualifications Approximately 1 year experience in marketing, entertainment, or PR. High emotional intelligence – read the room, remain calm under pressure, and communicate effectively with senior staff. Strong writing skills – fast, persuasive, detail‑oriented, able to produce concise recaps and reports. Exceptionally organized – manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Eager and collaborative – inclusive, network‑builder in entertainment industry. Driven to over‑deliver – willing to work select evenings and weekends when needed. Compensation $40,000 per year. Nonexempt role eligible for overtime.
