Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS, HWC (available on-site), NIH Must-Have Skills/Experience: Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing. Ability to work within a team. Strong communication skills. Description: This role involves providing nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit. The department serves all age groups and has a diverse patient population. The unit has a total of 24 beds, with patient ratios at 1:6. The electronic health record used is Meditech. Weekend hours may be required on an every-other-weekend basis. Call requirements are as needed. All travelers must have required certifications prior to starting. Random drug screenings will be conducted on site. Candidates must be available to float as needed. The facility has a comprehensive range of services including surgical services and 24-hour emergency department support. The environment encourages continuous improvement and professional development. Candidates are expected to dress in appropriate scrub attire. Casual wear is not acceptable.
