Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Heart & Vascular unit provides specialized care to patients with cardiac and vascular diseases. The role involves conducting nursing assessments, monitoring vital signs, and performing procedures related to post catheter management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments every twelve hours or as ordered by the physician.
• Monitor vital signs every four hours unless directed otherwise.
• Administer medications and cardiac drips per physician orders.
• Perform procedures including EKGs, pacemaker interrogation, and arterial sheath removal/monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess an active RN license.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Critical care skill set for post catheter management is preferred.
