Final Inspector - Level III

Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a quality-oriented Final Inspector - Level III to join its Brea, CA team! The Final Inspector - Level III will perform visual, electrical and dimensional inspection of printed circuit board assemblies; will be responsible for performing receiving inspections of outsourced processes and final assembly inspections while recording results and preparing various quality documents. Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 6 hours per day under a microscope.

Responsibilities of the Final Inspector - Level III:

• Read blueprints and/or engineering specifications to obtain information such as specified material, electrical, cosmetic requirements and workmanship instructions.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of printed circuit board assemblies to ensure workmanship which complies with the appropriate requirements from engineering drawings, process specifications, IPC-610 standards, J-STD-001 and customer specific criteria.
• Performs inspection on electrical or electronic components by using electrical meters or instruments to confirm adherence to electrical specifications.
• Performs inspection of conformal coating under both black and white light.
• Perform and record results of first article inspections of boards after Thru-Hole.
• Perform sub-assembly, box build, shipping, and receiving inspection as required.
• Assist in failure investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action activities and quality improvement projects.

Qualifications of the Final Inspector - Level III:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of related inspection experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, specifications and PCB gerbers.
• Skilled in electrically measuring resistors and capacitors.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English both in writing and verbally at the general business level.
• Expertise in reading component values by inspecting parts.
• Knowledge of various computer programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe).

Schedule & Budgeted Hours Morning Shift (2 Shift Total) Shift Hours: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Paid Hours Per Day: 8 hours (includes one 30?minute unpaid meal break). Overtime: May be required based on production needs and will be compensated in accordance with California labor law. Budgeted Hours Budgeted Weekly Hours: 40 hours (5 shifts 8 hours). Overtime: May be required based on production needs and will be compensated in accordance with California labor law.
