Job overview:

We are seeking a Hearth installer/ service technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and servicing a wide range of fireplaces, stoves, inserts and gas logs. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of technical skills, possess excellent customer service skills, have construction experience and be willing to learn and grow within the hearth industry.

CR Gas Logs & Fireplaces LLC is a privately-owned company and has been in business for over 40 years. We are based in Voorheesville Ny and service the greater capital region. We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service and wealth of knowledge in the fireplace industry.

Responsibilities:

·        Install, inspect, and service gas, electric, wood and pellet fireplaces, stoves, inserts and gas logs

·        Diagnose and repair fireplace, stove, insert and gas log issues efficiently and safely

·        Perform gas line work and pressure testing

·        Maintain detailed and accurate service and install records

·        Communicate effectively with customers and team members

·        Ensure all work complies with codes and safety regulations

Qualifications:

·        Previous fireplace installation, HVAC and/or construction experience is an asset

·        Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders or using scaffolding or manual/ bucket lift

·        Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs

·        Ability to work in physically demanding environments

·        Excellent customer service and communication skills

·        Reliable, punctual, and dependable

·        Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

·        Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills

·        Positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail

·        Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team

*Must be able to pass a background check and drug prescreening

Must be available to work both regular and extended business hours in our busy season, from October 1st through February 28th.
