Dallas Window Cleaning Supply

Job Description

Job Description

The Short Story

Dallas Window Cleaning Supply is a family-owned specialty supply shop for professional window cleaners, pressure washers, and exterior cleaning crews. Our customers are pros. They show up with real problems, and they need real answers - not a scripted greeting and a shrug.

We’re growing fast. Sales are climbing, our web business is expanding, we’re launching our own tool line, and this fall we move into a bigger store nearby. We need someone at the front counter now - someone who likes people, likes figuring things out, and wants to actually get good at something.

If that’s you, keep reading. You do not need window cleaning experience - we’ll teach you. You need to be reliable, curious, and willing to work.

More than a Normal Retail Job

Window cleaning isn’t a bucket and a squeegee anymore. The trade is changing fast, and we’re at the front of it - advanced water filtration systems, drones, specialty chemicals, high-rise rigging, tool belt setups built like a tradesman’s kit. These are professionals who care about their gear the way a mechanic cares about their tools, and we sell the best of the best. You get to be the person who knows what’s new and why it matters.

  • You’ll learn an actual trade. There’s real depth here, and we’ll teach you all of it. Six months in, contractors will be asking for you by name.
  • You get to go see the work. As part of training, we may send you out in the field with a crew for a couple of days - on the clock - so you actually understand what you’re selling and who you’re selling it to.
  • No corporate script. You’ll talk to customers like a human being, because that’s the whole reason they drive past the big-box stores to come see us.
  • You’ll know the owner. This is a small, family-owned team. Your work gets noticed here.
  • We’re building something. A bigger storefront, a growing online business, and our own line of tools. Get in now and there’s room to grow with it.

What You’ll Do

  • Run the front counter, greet walk-in customers, answer questions, and help them find the right tool for the job
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash, cards, and account orders accurately
  • Answer the phone and take orders from customers across the country
  • Restock shelves and keep the floor organized - faced and priced
  • Take in customer repair items and perform health checks/basic repairs
  • Open and close the store as scheduled
  • Build real product knowledge - enough to handle a water-fed or high-rise question without passing it off
  • Keep the store clean, organized, and looking sharp – sweep, wipe, and take out trash

What We’re Looking For

  • Reliable, consistent full-time availability - this matters more to us than any line on your resume
  • Comfort handling cash, running a register, and reading an invoice
  • Decent computer skills - comfortable with email, Excel/Word, and learning new software
  • Strong communication and a team-first attitude
  • The ability to learn quickly and actually apply what you learn
  • Willingness to be on your feet most of the day and lift items up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable transportation and a consistent record of showing up on time
  • Offer contingent on background check

Bonus Points

  • Any background in window cleaning, pressure washing, soft wash, janitorial, or building services
  • Retail or trade-counter experience - hardware, plumbing, paint, tools, equipment rental
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) – Many of our customers prefer to do business in Spanish
  • You’re handy - comfortable with basic hand tools and light repair work

Pay & Growth

$18–$23 per hour , depending on what you bring with you. Monday through Friday, 8:45 to 5:15, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. No nights, no Saturday or Sundays.

We don’t currently offer a benefits package – we put that into the hourly rate instead, which is why this pays well above what a counter job in Dallas usually does.

You don’t wait a year for a raise. The moment you can demonstrate mastery of every core responsibility in the “What You’ll Do” section, you’re eligible for an increase.
