Travel RN - ICUAmerican TravelerBoise, Idaho, United StatesPosition ID: P-758849Position status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 3Start date: 2026-10-12T00:00:00.000Z$2,083.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of ICU experience and an ID or compact RN license.DetailsCombined SICU/MICU unit with 16 beds each, staffed as a combined 32-bed unitNurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2Cares for CABG, CVA, subarachnoid and intracerebral hemorrhage, GI bleeds, DKA, STEMI, septic shock, overdose, respiratory failure, and neuro surgery patientsNo trauma, burn, or transplant patients on this unitRNs required to titrate drips including dopamine, epinephrine, norepinephrine, cardene, nitro, neo, vasopressin, diltiazem, insulin, and esmololRNs monitor and read their own telemetry strips using Spacelabs equipment24/7 in-house respiratory therapy and hospitalist/intensivist coverageCNA support at approximately 1:8 ratioUses EPIC EMR12-hour night shifts (7p-7a)Every other or half of weekends requiredHoliday coverage required as needed, with efforts made to accommodate requestsNo call or standby requirementFloating required to other ICUs in the Valley (Meridian and Nampa Medical Centers) and may include floating outside ICU as a 1:1 sitterTravelers are typically scheduled to fill needs after permanent staff, with efforts made to group night shifts and honor self-scheduling requestsRequirementsActive RN license (ID or compact) required at time of considerationCurrent BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredMinimum 2 years of ICU experience requiredExperience in a similar size or larger ICU and hospital preferredNo prior experience required with open hearts, CRRT, ECMO, or balloon pumpsMust be able to titrate common vasoactive and insulin dripsDriver's license required for considerationTwo professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibilityAdditional Information1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation providedNo specific scrub color or dress code requirementNo blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests acceptedPermanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before applying for a travel assignmentMust reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this positionFirst-time travelers may be consideredHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
