Job Title: Physician – Department of Dermatology, Inpatient Dermatologist (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Position Overview The ideal candidate will be a board certified/board eligible Dermatologist with demonstrated clinical and/or scholarly achievement, a commitment to excellence, interest in teaching residents and students, and dedicated to advancing research and innovation. They will contribute to the Department’s vision while upholding the organization’s mission and values. Responsibilities include patient care, research, and training residents, fellows, medical students, undergraduate and graduate students. Department Overview The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Dermatologist to join the Department of Dermatology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. The Division of Inpatient Dermatology is interested in candidates with a strong interest in hospital-based dermatology. Faculty manage high-acuity, complex medical dermatology cases within a large academic health system and work closely with residents and multidisciplinary teams. Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings Perform medical and surgical dermatologic procedures Direct and participate in quality assessment and improvement activities Serve as preceptor and provide bedside training of residents, fellows, medical students, undergraduate and graduate students Serve as a mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department Participate in department, college, medical center and university committees and other service activities Conduct and provide clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings, both within OSUWMC and at the regional and national level Support clinical and translational research activities and innovation Opportunity to serve as PI or Co-I in grants and/or clinical trials Requirements Completion of an accredited residency program in dermatology required MD or DO with or without other advanced degree (MS, PhD, etc.) Board eligible/Board certification in Dermatology Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio Compensation Package Salary: Commensurate with experience level, bonus, relocation assistance Retirement Benefits: 14% employer match, supplemental retirement accounts 403(b) and 457(b) Paid Time Off: 176 hours of annual vacation, 120 hours of annual sick time, 11 recognized annual holidays, and generous CME allowance Exceptional health, vision, and dental benefits: health reimbursement account, healthcare flexible spending account, dependent care flexible spending account Tuition Assistance Benefits: 10 credit hours per term for faculty and staff covered, 50% of a dependent’s fees per semester covered Fringe Benefits: family building assistance and benefits, lifestyle spending accounts, childcare programs, eligible for public service loan forgiveness and institutional support to fulfill requirements How to Apply To be considered, please submit cover letter and Curriculum Vitae.
