Vaco is partnering with a growing private equity-backed organization seeking an Accounting and Finance Manager to support operations across multiple portfolio companies.

This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career through exposure to businesses at different stages of growth, with responsibilities ranging from hands-on accounting to strategic, Controller/CFO-level initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Partner with leadership teams across multiple businesses to improve accounting and finance operations.
• Support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, AP, payroll, and other hands-on accounting functions.
• Build and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting infrastructure.
• Assist with acquisitions, integrations, system implementations, and audit preparation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and strategic financial analysis.
• Work directly with senior leadership on financial initiatives and operational improvements.

What We're Looking For:

• 4-6+ years of accounting and finance experience.
• Ideal profile is a blend of public accounting + industry experience
• Public accounting or client services experience with mid-size companies highly preferred
• Manufacturing, industrial, or healthcare experience a plus
• CPA preferred
• Comfortable working across multiple projects and navigating evolving business environments.
• A hands-on, adaptable self-starter who enjoys both digging into the details and the bigger picture.
