About the Role: The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner working with our Hand and Upper Extremity team of Orthopedic Surgeons) plays a critical role in delivering specialized care to our patients. The SOS Hand & Wrist Center is led by board certified, fellowship trained, and award winning orthopedic hand specialists, wrist doctors and arm specialists who maintain a standard of excellence in care that can only be achieved through their extraordinary talent and dedication. Minimum Qualifications: Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the United States. Certification from an accredited PA or NP program with national board certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. Preferred Qualifications: Specialty certification in orthopedics. Advanced certifications such as ACLS or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Responsibilities: Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations. Order, interpret, and integrate diagnostic tests such as imaging and laboratory results to inform clinical decision-making. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, physical therapy referrals, and patient education. Provide preoperative and postoperative care to ensure optimal recovery and rehabilitation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, physical therapists, and pain management specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Document patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and institutional policies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in spine care through continuing education. #J-18808-Ljbffr
