Customer Service Representative

LOCATION l Dallas, TX 75224 | Onsite

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• Pay: $17.82/hour

• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM (30-minute lunch); Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM (1-hour lunch); One Saturday per month, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM after cross-training (30-minute lunch)

• Employment Type: W-2

ROLE IMPACT

Support the WIC program by providing exceptional customer service while helping women, infants, and children access essential nutrition and health resources. Success in this role is measured by accurate eligibility determination, timely participant support, quality documentation, and professional service to every client.

Key Responsibilities

• Interview applicants to determine WIC eligibility by verifying income, residency, identification, and immunization records while accurately completing required documentation.

• Issue WIC Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) benefits, maintain inventory records, complete data entry in Texas WIN, and prepare program reports.

• Collect participant health information, perform finger-stick blood collection, obtain height and weight measurements, and accurately document information in program systems.

• Greet participants, answer questions, schedule appointments, and provide referrals to health and community resources when appropriate.

• Provide administrative support by maintaining participant records, managing files, answering phones, and delivering courteous customer service.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, education, community services, or social services.

• Valid Texas Driver's License.

• XP software

• Microsoft Office and standard computer applications

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Knowledge of WIC program policies, eligibility requirements, and services for women, infants, and children.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships.

• Ability to evaluate applicant information, maintain accurate records, and complete required WIC nutrition modules during the probationary period.
